Blue Room Podcast Preparation Guide
Before Your Podcast
Stay organised, yet natural – Plan a flexible structure. List key themes or talking points but leave space for spontaneous tangents.
Maximise your booking – Break a 45-minute session into 5, 10, or 15-minute chunks. This creates natural points for repurposing content.
Keep the flow smooth – Share any images, clips, or links with our AV technician before recording so they’re ready when you need them.
Know your audience – Define your purpose and who you’re speaking to. A clear focus makes your show compelling and helps grow a loyal following.
During the Recording
Sound quality – Avoid noisy clothing, jewellery, or tapping the mic/table.
On-camera presence – Use paper notes instead of laptops/tablets to stay open to the camera. Keep bullet points off-screen.
Authenticity – Relax and enjoy the process! When you’re natural, your energy shines through to listeners and viewers.
