Life Drawing at Gallery 8
Held inside a working contemporary art gallery in Southport, our life drawing sessions are relaxed, social and open to everyone - from complete beginners to practising artists.
There's no instruction, no pressure and no judgment. Just you, a live model, good music, a drink in hand if you want one, and a room full of people doing the same thing.
Sessions run in short poses to warm up, building to longer poses as the evening progresses. You'll leave with a handful of drawings and, usually, plans to come back. Come solo or bring a friend.

No. These are untutored life drawing sessions - there is no instruction or teaching. You work independently at your own pace.
This is intentional: it keeps the atmosphere relaxed and social rather than like a class.
Beginners are always welcome.

Yes. These are traditional life drawing sessions with a professional nude model.
All sessions are respectful, professional, and focused on drawing practice. Suitable for 18+ -
Sessions are structured to help beginners feel comfortable. We begin with short warm-up poses of 1–5 minutes to help you loosen up, then move into longer poses of 10–20 minutes as the evening progresses. Music plays throughout, the bar is open, and there's no pressure to produce anything in particular.

A selection of drinks are available from the bar, along with cheese boards and freshly made toasted sandwiches that can be enjoyed before or after the session.
