Trying to understand the information channelling through me as if my hands are speaking in tongues, the oil sticks gliding over the paper, igniting an arousal that courses electric through my veins. So much is happening; the surge of energy won't let me stop, as if pausing might unravel me entirely, leaving me to die in the hush.
This painting stands as a testament to the processes psychologists unravel, mirroring my own raw personal odyssey. Sometimes, what I'm taking in or expelling from deep withinis meant only for me to feel, a private alchemy of the soul. This piece is a selfish act of sharing: a glimpse into a cognitive style that enhances problem-solving, creativity, and memory by tapping the brain's innate power to interpret visual data. It draws on skills like spatial visualization and object visualization, where the mind's eye becomes both map and mirror.

It was painful reliving those moments that scarred me so deeply etching their ghosts back into the light. I count each one, every jagged pain that dragged me to the brink, teetering on oblivion. Why I never left? That's the question that haunts me still, a relentless echo in the quiet hours. But now, I know it was all worth it. This piece stands as a trophy for those who claw their way to post-traumatic growth, emerging forged and fierce from the wreckage.
Two days to live or lived in just two days—let your state of be the judge of that brutal math. The scratch marks claw across the surface, raw symbols of the battles no one witnessed, the savage fights waged deep in the labyrinth of my mind. The cardboard woven into this work. Recycled from a certain drink I favour, its familiar husk reborn. I peeled each layer myself, stacking them meticulously, a ritual of reclamation where fragments of the ordinary become armour for the soul.

Piece by piece, I layered this work as if confessing everything that has brought me to this exact moment in time. There is so much of me in it mentally and physically, through blood, urine, and hair seared into the paper. Blood splatters evoke trauma and those disgusting,festering feelings; scribbled patches fill the voids left by a child who had to grow up far quicker than he would have liked. The orange bursts forth as confusion, a raw sense of helplessness. At its core, the message is a confession from a heart where nothing but emotions make sense.
This piece is what happens when you let go of everything that was and become everything that aligns with what the universe wants you to truly be.

This painting captures the internal struggle of differentiating oneself from a parent’s destructive choices and confronting the fear of becoming like them. It conveys a deep-seated anger, rage, and resentment towards my father, juxtaposed with the underlying sadness of a son who yearned for his father to embody the potential he always believed was within him. The artwork reflects my attempt to rise above my father's failures, embracing the positive qualities I have inherited while rejecting the negative ones. Through this expression, I hope my father might see the reflection of his better self that I carry within me and that it may inspire him to find his way back to the light.
